Spinners - Conrad Jupiters Casino

Spinners was giving away $20 Casino Dollars to members who order their BugsBliss meal in the month of June. It was the last day for this offer yesterday and I didn't want to miss out on the $20 casino dollars, so we decided to have lunch at Spinners! (The casino dollars can be used for the pokies machines or to pay for meals at any of the restaurants inside the casino).

It was very busy and we had to wait in line to be seated. After about 5-10 minutes, we were taken to a table. The atmosphere was lively, with many people chatting and eating. The waiter promptly brought some water to the table and gave us some time to look through the menu.

The menu wasn't very extensive, but had the typical items you would expect at a hotel cafe.
After about 5-10 minutes, we ordered and then had to wait another good 30 minutes before we got our food....

This was my bugs! (3 bugs with garlic butter sauce, chips and salad)

Spaghetti Prawns

Thai Beef Salad
The bugs were quite ordinary, not enough sauce and chips were not crunchy. Well, I guess being the special 'members' meal, can't expect too much right?  Non-members can purchase this meal for $26.90, members price was $14.90. Well, if I wasn't a member, and I didn't get the $20 Casino dollars, I wouldn't order this again! The spaghetti prawns was ok, but once again nothing special.

The highlight was the Thai Beef Salad. The dressing was tasty and the beef was cooked just right. Only problem was the size..... at $19.50 a serve, I think it was a tad small.

I've been to Spinners before for coffee/dessert, which I think is much better than lunch/dinner (their lunch and dinner menu is the same).

This is what we ordered last time for dessert/coffee....

Latte & Fruit Tart

Cookies & Cream Mocktail

Coffee and cakes at Spinners are not bad for the reasonable price. I would go to Spinners any day for coffee/cake on a late night out (since it is open til late).

Would have to re-think if I'm going there for lunch or dinner. Or maybe order something different from the menu. I saw another table order Club Sandwich and that looked pretty good, at $18.  The Seafood Platter is $39 and looked ok too, which can be shared between 2 people.
