Broadbeach Restaurant Week 2012

Broadbeach Restaurant Week is back again this year between the 13th and 22nd of July!

Head to Broadbeach Restaurant Week Participating Restaurants to view the 3 course menus on offer at either $35 or $55 per person at featured restaurants.

In previous years, I have sampled the 3 course menus at Moo Moo Wine Bar & Grill, Room81, On3 and Bistro Blanc. All were exceptional in flavour and price! It's not often that you can grab a good quality 3 course (entree, main & dessert) meal for $35 or $55!! So what are you waiting for?? Take a look at the sample menus and make a booking now!! It's definitely worth trying!

Just to give you a taster of what to expect...........

This was the lovely food  I got to enjoy at Room81 during Broadbeach Restaurant Week in 2009.

Entree: Zucchini Flower

Main: Wagyu Strips & Ravioli

Main: Salmon & Prawn

Dessert: Donuts & Chocolate Sauce
The food at Room81 was absolutely divine! I was left wanting more! The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was trendy and really set the mood for a good night out. The presentation of the food was excellent as was the taste.

The second restaurant we visited for Broadbeach Restaurant Week was Bistro Blanc.

Starter: Crispy Baguette Bruschetta

Starter: Calamari Fritters

Entree: Smoked Tasmanian Salmon Salad

Entree: Lobster Bisque

Main: Seafood Tagliarini

Main: Oven Roasted Ham on the Bone
For Bistro Blanc's 3 course menu, we decided to have a starter instead of dessert, as the dessert choices seemed uninteresting (from memory). But it was good that there was an option of starters or dessert.

Overall, I thought the food was good, but could have been better. The portions were alright, but I thought the baked ham was a bit too small (especially for a guy). My seafood tagliarini was just the right size. But for the price of $35 (or was it $55?!) per person for the 3 courses, I couldn't complain! Keeping in mind that I did dine there 3 years ago, back in 2009, things might have changed now... looking at the recent reviews on Urbanspoon, which aren't that good.

And of course, we went to Moo Moo Wine Bar & Grill to try the 3 course menu of entree, main and dessert! At $55 it was a bargain!  But I think this year they aren't doing the 3 course menu =(

Entree: Pan Seared Scallops with Crispy Bacon and Pea Puree
Main: Steak

Dessert: Chocolate Brownie & Vanilla Bean Icecream with Honeycomb

The entree and main was just beautiful! Very good quality and generous portions. I found the dessert too sweet and rich. The dessert was also a large portion (there were TWO huge slices of the chocolate brownie).

The service at Moo Moo has always been of a very high standard on the several occasions I have dined there. Everytime I have been there I have enjoyed nice food and quality service. That's why I keep going back! Although the price of the steaks are on the expensive side, other mains are reasonably priced and the side dishes are very good value.
