Bamboo Basket

A while ago I visited Bamboo basket for lunch on a Saturday. We had a late lunch and there was 10% discount between 2pm and 5:30pm (from memory). Bonus!!

The inside of the restaurant was predominantly decorated in black and red. The furnishings are quite new and chic, not your typical chinese restaurant. From the outside, you can see into their kitchen, where the chefs are making dumplings and handmade noodles!

Shanghai Dumplings - $7.80
The shanghai dumplings were to die for! Although quite expensive.........
BBQ Pork Flatbread - $12.80
This BBQ pork flatbread is probably my favourite! The crepe like pastry on the outside is crispy and complimented very well with the thin slices of BBQ pork, onion, capsicum and shallots stirfried with hoisin sauce inside! The only complaint I have is that there's more onion than pork! Maybe a way to cut costs for the restaurant?!
Shredded Duck Noodle - $12.80
The noodles are all freshly made onsite! This dish was delicious! But after a few mouthfuls, it got a bit salty because the flavour was too strong for me.

It was very quiet when I visited, so the service was prompt and we got our food very quickly.
